"This field is adjacent to the wooded landscape on Mount Nemo that I have painted many times. On one late winter afternoon hike, I turned away from the forest and saw the possibility in the field I had usually ignored. When I paint a field, especially one in the winter with stalks and few leaves, I see it like a forest with repetition of form and linear verticality." - Jamie
